After spending recent seasons in the MXGP paddock with the SixtySeven Husqvarna team, German rider Mark Scheu has officially parted ways with the team. The announcement came just ahead of his home Grand Prix, which he was unfortunately forced to miss as a result of the split.

Despite the setback, Scheu has wasted no time in securing a new opportunity. While he won’t be racing in any further MXGP rounds this season, he will remain active on the domestic front, turning his attention to the ADAC MX Masters Championship and the German Championship.

In a notable change, Scheu will no longer be competing on Austrian machinery, having made the switch from Husqvarna to Suzuki. He has signed a deal with the Johannes-Bikes Suzuki team and will represent them for the remainder of the 2025 season.

It’s a fresh start for Scheu as he looks to rebuild momentum on home soil, and his experience from racing at the world championship level should make him a strong contender in the national series moving forward.

Mark Scheu:

I am happy to sign with the team and I am looking forward to the rest of the season with them and a long-term cooperation. Expectation wise I don’t look to the results, I just want to have fun and improve. This is a new motivation and new chapter for me as it’s my first time on a bike from Japan.
