Cooper Webb was somehow given the wrong trophy in Detroit with the 450 race winner given the 250 West trophy for first place in Texas! Webb saying on his IG: “Don’t let the trophy fool you Texas up next 😂”
Webb is now tied on points for the championship lead and, in many people’s eyes favourite for this title given his history.
And Webb was so confident in Detroit he felt he had the race in control as early as lap three as he started stalking his old foe, Ken Roczen: “You always feel comfortable and confident, I really liked were I was by lap 3. He felt the pressure and rode well all main event. I felt confident that whole main event, said Webb before adding…I have been in that position before.”
Webb knew the script and got Roczen late again for his first win of the season and the man you don’t want to give any momentum too now has it!
