Tim Gajser v Jett Lawrence MXoN final moto

The race of the year ended with a battle of champions on Honda’s as five time world champion Tim Gajser went head-to-head with AMA supercross and SMX champion, Jett Lawrence and came out on top in a breathtaking move!

Jett said: “I wasn’t 100% sure where the team was at. I started pretty far back but was able to get to the front. I felt like my last lap wasn’t that bad but then I messed up, I didn’t get the inside rut as clean before the step-up. I looked to my right and seen the green and blue and was like this isn’t a good situation for me, I didn’t think of going across enough and Tim was already set up for it. I thought I could turn back quickly but Tim protected his line through there. It was good to battle with Tim, I got him last year and now he has returned the favour but his for a better position so he one up now!

Gajser said: “It was a great day of racing and I’m extr emely happy with how it all went. I wanted to end this season on a high and I think I did that. It was great to battle with Jett and we put on a real show for the fans, but obviously I wanted to take the win and I made it happen on the last corner. I felt good all day and in the first race I got into the lead and didn’t have to push too much to win the race. Then in the last moto, I got into the lead but didn’t know Jett was there, so when he was there, I realised I had to go again. Then he made the pass but I stuck with him and took a different line before the uphill triple, got the drive and made the move. A big thank you for all the support I’ve received this weekend and to all the team. Now we have a bit of a break before we prepare for 2025!
