Eli Tomac went 4-11 at Budds Creek with a terrible start in race two ending his hopes of challenging for a podium, and talking to Jason Thomas, Tomac was still positive.
“Well, a little bit of good and little bit of misery there,” said Tomax with a smile on his face. “First moto I was pretty happy with, found a groove and had some good lines but the second one was tough, a bit more biried on the start and just struggled to really go. Learned a lot today, feels good to be back even though that one wasn’t hot, I feel like ai could still get there thinking about that first moto so, thanks to all the fans that came out.”
It seems the MXoN selection will go to the wire between Plessinger, Cooper and Tomac with Steve Matthes of PulpMX tweeting: “Update on Team USA, not being selected until after Ironman- team wants to see where ET is at & then if he’s out, I think whoever is 3rd goes.”
Tomac looks to have one more shot at convincing team USA at Ironman.
