Talking to Gypsy Tales just a few days into his supercross test, Jorge Prado refused to rule out racing Anaheim one saying his birthday is the 5th of January!
Prado said: “That’s something that comes to my mind. My birthday is on the fifth, maybe it is a good birthday present to ride Anaheim one, the GP’s start in March or something… it’s still a few months, it could be possible to do both, maybe I should speak to the team to organise it. Imagine if I do very well in A1, I respect all these guys, they are so fast, I am not trying to say I will beat everyone but I also trust myself and I know my starts… what do you do then? Do you stay or come back and race GP’s?…
“I would love to race A1, that’s one of my dreams. Also one of my dreams was to be MXGP world champion and I did it, we only live once…”
Prado won’t be the first to race the start of supercross as a GP rider in the premier class, Bayle, Everts and Tortelli all did it with relative success..
