Race One: Jett Lawrence dominated race one to win by over ten seconds over Chase Sexton, Lawrence looking like an Australian Stefan Everts on the pegs and cruising. Ferrandis took third with Webb and Plessinger rounding out the top five.
Former MXGP men Locurcio and Butron both made the top ten.
Race Two:
Jett Lawrence went toe-to-toe with Chase Sexton all moto long and came out on top with Sexton stalking Lawrence all moto but not able to make the pass, Lawrence even saying he enjoyed what he felt was a chess game at times. Lawrence goes 1-1 to win the overall and send a huge message to Sexton – he’s ready to win and can handle the pressure.
