250cc race results: AMA Nationals RD1 – Lawrence wins at Fox Raceway

Race One: In the first race it was Jo Shimoda and RJ Hampshire leading the field ahead of the Factory KTM riders. Hampshire made a move on Shimoda and then the Japanese rider made a mistake which allowed Hampshire an easy win in the end. Vohland was riding really well and came home in second ahead of Hunter Lawrence who didn’t get the best of starts. Vialle was as high as third but didn’t look comfortable and dropped to seventh. Haiden Deegan had a crash but came back to sixth and was all over Justin Cooper on the last lap. Guillem Farres was outside the top twenty but rode well to come back to eighth.

Race Two: The second moto was the Hunter Lawrence show as he got the holeshot and never looked back. Vialle was looking so much better and was sitting second for twenty minutes before Deegan passed him. After holding off Cooper for third, it looked like Vialle got third overall but RJ Hampshire who had three crashes made a last lap pass to secure the final step on the podium.
