Race One: Noel Zanocz was just too good in the first moto – he wasn’t top three at the start but it didn’t take him long to get to the front passing his Fantic team mate, Simone Mancini – he even had time to wave to his friends in the crowd after making the move.
Mancini was riding well considering the conditions but then Garcia passed him on the last lap for second. Hindersson rode well for fifth ahead of Doensen who will be looking for much more – he should be at the front! Team GB’s Jamie Keith rode superb for sixth.
Cole McCullough got an awful start with only a couple of riders behind him but charged through the field – he got to twelfth with plenty of riders just ahead of him before a costly crash.
Race Two: Mancini got another holeshot and was looking good at the front but Zanocz was buried down the order outside the top fifteen but he went into beast mode and was passing riders everywhere around a brutal track.
The Hungarian got up to second which was enough for the overall with Mancini taking the win – he is getting stronger in the sand!
Garcia ended up on the podium with a third overall. McCullough had another crash but battled through to tenth!
