Weekend watch: LOTS of racing around the globe


You won’t be bored following the sport this weekend as there’s loads of racing happening to be followed all over the globe.

Supercross Events

  • AMA Supercross – Arlington 

After a weekend off the AMA Supercross series heads to Arlington for the seventh round of the series and the exciting East Coast 250SX series will resume. The likes of Haiden Deegan and Tom Vialle have catch up to do after the disaster first corner at the opening round. Austin Forkner will want to continue as he started the season with a win.

In the 450SX class, Ken Roczen comes in feeling confident after winning the previous round whilst Jett Lawrence has the red plate on his Honda.

  • Arenacross UK finale 

The Arenacross UK series has been hit with a number of injuries with Conrad Mewse, Tommy Searle and Harri Kullas amongst the big names being injury victims. With double points on offer this weekend the championship is all to play for but Jack Brunell and Stark Varg are looking good for their first championship in the sport!

The likes of Cedric Soubeyras and Jorge Zaragoza are on the entry list for the finale adding to the depth which should provide some good racing.

  • Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) finale 

The final round of the Indian Supercross Racing League series takes place this weekend with the likes of Jordi Tixier, Matt Moss and Thomas Ramette all in action.

Motocross events

  • Hawkstone International 

The MX scene in the UK finally gets underway this weekend with the famous Hawkstone International event. The weather is looking good over the weekend and the Hawkstone Park circuit should get gnarly on Sunday making it perfect for MXGP preparation.

The likes of Jeffrey Herlings, Romain Febvre, Glenn Coldenhoff and Roan van de Moosdijk will race the MX1 class along with many top Brits including Adam Sterry and Josh Gilbert. In the MX2 class, world champion, Andrea Adamo will be in action but unfortunately Liam Everts has to miss out after an injury this week.

  • French Elite RD1 

Big names were entered for the opening round of the French Elite series but the event has now been cancelled due to weather conditions.

  • Spanish Championship RD2 

The Spanish championship got underway a few weeks ago but it’s back for round two this weekend with a even better entry list. With Lugo hosting round two it sees Jorge Prado having his first MX race after his AMA SX experience. He’ll go up against Ruben Fernandez who already has a couple of MX events under his belt in Italy.

In MX2, Ferruccio Zanchi is entered along with Marc Antoine Rossi who will make his factory GasGas debut. British talents, Billy Askew and Bobby Bruce will also be racing.

It’s set to be a busy weekend but we will have you covered for all the events so make sure you keep track of all the exciting races this weekend.
