Video: Webb gives middle finger to Sexton!

Just as Cooper Webb saw a chance of the win as he ran down Aaron Plessinger at the end of the race, Plessinger’s teammate Chase Sexton got in his way and Webb, a former KTM rider, threw up the middle finger in an angry response as his chance of the win disappeared!

Earlier his own teammate Eli Tomac had found himself a lap down and in between leader Plessinger and second place Webb! It wasn’t an easy night for Webb with the lappers, especially when it was two title challengers he was trying to get by!

Webb said it was “interesting” what happened with the back markers in his post-race interview, then said in the press conference: “A bit weird. Late in the race I was racing my teammate who was a lap down, that was a bit of a bummer, and yeah, traded some paint with the number one there with two to go.

“The lappers are tough. It was a very weird thing with Eli. Even at one point I thought maybe he was in second, I had to look at the board and see. It was a bit strange, I had kind of chipped away at AP, the lappers had held him up a bit then AP got around him, then I get he was trying to get points (Tomac), but that was tough”.

“The two to go from my perspective, I felt like the number 1 got out of AP’s way then charged forward to not get out of my way. That’s my personal opinion and we hit and about went down, I was a little bummed on that”.

“I was getting lapped last weekend and felt I was pretty disrespectful, but it will come around. It’s tough when you are in that position, you don’t want to be getting lapped, but you just got to respect the leaders.”
