Jorge Prado was comfortable in second early in the qualifying race at Arco chasing Romain Febvre for the win when his seat fell off over a jump and forced the Spaniard into the pits for a new seat – held on by duct tape!
Prado came from last back to 17th only for his seat to fall off again over a jump with a couple of corners to go! Fortunately, it didn’t cost any places but Prado was understandably FUMING when he crossed the line.
Gajser, Herlings and Febvre all gained points and now Prado will have 17th gate pick for tomorrow on a track that is very hard to pass on. Without making a mistake himself, Prado has seen the door open for his rivals and maybe a momentum switch in the championship.
