Jett Lawrence became the first dirt bike rider to attend the Met Gala, a high-profile fashion event in New York, and created a new avenue to advertise the sport to the mainstream market.
Jett wasn’t the only sports star there, with NFL superbowl winning QB, Jalen Hurts, his Eagles teammate, Saquon Barkley, and Bengals QB, Joe Burrow, all in attedance, underlining the magnitude of the event.
The Met Gala 2025, (reportedly $75,000 for a ticket) held on May 5, celebrated the Costume Institute’s exhibition “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” focusing on Black dandyism, which aligns with the event’s theme and explains Lawrence’s formal attire in the video below:
