The Ducati Desmo450 MX, ridden by Alessandro Lupino, made an impressive debut in the 2024 Italian Motocross Championship, claiming pole position and a victory in the first heat, ultimately finishing second overall.
This marks Ducati’s entry into off-road racing, with plans to expand into a full range of off-road bikes. The debut at the Mantua circuit saw Lupino set the fastest times in practice and qualifying, and after a strong first heat, he battled through a difficult second heat. Ducati’s CEO, Claudio Domenicali, praised the team’s performance, while Lupino expressed pride in contributing to Ducati’s history with this exciting start.
