Ken Roczen ended up on the ground after a charging Jason Anderson went for the pass when Roczen drifted wide following a slightly rough go through the whoops. Roczen would remount and get back to seventh but Anderson looked like was going to give Chase Sexton a run for his money until a bike issue forced Anderson to nurse it home for ninth.
Anderson now sits sixth in points but is just six back of new points leader Tomac with Roczen a further point back in seventh – both still have their chance at the title despite the night not going to plan for either rider!

Roczen said ( 15 min 25 seconds in) on Swapmoto live’s YouTube video: “Everything was going pretty smoothly until Anderson took me down, I had no idea he was there, that was probably my worst run threw the whoops, I went sideways and went wide. I went wide and he didn’t turn. My grip was all peeled off but it was fine, afterwards I couldn’t get a good flow anymore, but it is what it is.”
