As well as the big factory contracts, the top AMA racers still get prize money based on their finishes at each event – and that means essential money for the privateer too. This prize money has went up slightly for 2023. with the 450 winner getting $14,000, $7,000 for second and $4,500 for third and $2,250 for 22nd place in the 450 main event
