US rumours – Sexton to KTM in 2024? Roczen latest…
David Pingree’s Whiskey Throttle outlet has heard that Red Bull KTM have secured America’s highly rated talent, Chase Sexton, from 2024 meaning Honda are losing one of their big guns! The question remains – is that to make room for Jett on a big dollar deal and not have two number one riders in the team? It also means Cooper Webb’s position for 2024 is unclear – although he has been rumoured to be a target for Star Yamaha to replace Tomac in 2024.
Ken Roczen was also mentioned as being a target for KTM but is now likely to go with HEP or even stay with the Honda team that saw him win the WSX crown and the King of Paris.
See the news here: BREAKING: The off-season rumors have just been confirmed – The 23 of @chasesexton has signed a multi-year deal with Red Bull/KTM for ‘24+. Does this mean Coop is out for ‘24?
We’ve also been told that the KTM group had @kenroczen94 in their sights, but have moved on to other prospects after his refusal to submit to drug testing after the final round of WSX.
The big question is – why refuse to testing? If true, this leaves Ken with no options under a factory tent – does he ride the @hepmotorsports Suzuki or stay on his @hondaracing_moto ride he found success on for WSX?
Roczen meanwhile has posted another video of him riding the HEP Suzuki…
