Eli Tomac appeared to rule himself out of team USA and hand the spot to Aaron Plessinger who finished second overall at Ironman ahead of third placed Eli, with AP currently third overall in points.
When asked if part of the reason for coming back for the last two Nationals was for chance of racing the MXON, Eli said : “If I had of been the number two guy I would say ‘sign me up,’ but AP was the number two guy, it was all of that, getting back into motocross knowing I’m going to race in 25, just to get racing.”
With Deegan still not sure if he is in or out with Star not asking, could Tomac impact Deegan’s decision? Chance Hymas is reportedly the next in line of Deegan is out. It shouldn’t be too long before we find out with the team expected to be picked this week with MXoN teams reportedly needing to be submitted before 1st September.
