The Coenen brothers are adding a lot is spice to this weekend’s third round of the AMA Pro Motocross series with both Lucas and Sacha leading the MXGP and MX2 World Championships respectively and more than capable of setting the cat amongst the pigeons this weekend.
So, we asked both Lawrence boys and Haiden Deegan at Hangtown to get their reaction to Lucas lining up with them this weekend.
Jett said: “It’s always cool to see two other brothers obviously doing really well in Europe, for them to come here, it’s sick. Hope they’ll have some good fun here, the tracks are different to Europe, I feel like they’re a lot more fun here. They’re going to enjoy it, obviously learn some things for when they come here next year. I think they’ll have a good time, it’s going to be fun.”
Hunter said: “Yeah, it’ll be good. It’s cool, him and his brother are coming over. Obviously, they have a break in their GP season, so I think it’ll be good. They’re obviously coming to America next year, I believe, so yeah, it’s cool. It’s a fun track. I just think they should have a good time.”
While Deegan commented he would like to see Herlings come over as well! “I’m down to ride with anyone that’s cool, and those guys come over again and race. I feel like every GP guy is slowly making their way over here. I don’t know why that is. The money is better, but maybe I’ll just start to go over there and race those guys next, but I don’t know. I think the coolest one is if Herlings came over again and race, that would be sick”.
