Eli Tomac took the fastest time in qualifying at Houston with Ken Roczen just a tenth behind and Tomac’s rapid teammate Cianciarulo in third.

Cooper Webb had a good session in sixth just behind that man Brayton on the pace again in fifth with Zach Osborne fourth.
In the 250 class it was Christian Craig on top as the championship leader edged Jett Lawrence but Lawrence didn’t finish the second session after crashing in the whoops and riding back to the pits.
