The SM-Action GasGas team have confirmed another signing for the 2022 season in the form of young Italian rider, Luca Ruffini. The Italian had a promising start to the season in the EMX125 class before injury cut his season short but the privateer did enough to secure a good ride for the season ahead.
Ruffini will now put an end to his racing on the 125cc and move up to the 250cc to contest the competitive EMX250 series in what will be a rookie year for him.
Joining Ruffini under the SM-Action GasGas awning will be Federici Tuani (EMX250), Andrea Adamo (MX2) and Alberto Forato (MXGP).
“My 2022 starts here. It will take another month off to recover from the knee operation and I will get on the saddle at the end of January. I am really happy to be joining the SM-Action GasGas team. With their support I will participate in the EMX250 and Italian championship with the GasGas 250cc 4-stroke. I can’t wait!”, Ruffini stated on social media.
