Chase Sexton says he is up for going to the MXoN but that there will be some tough competition – while Hunter Lawrence said he wouldn’t mind if team USA didn’t want to go!
“I hope I get picked and I would love to go,” confirmed Sexton after missing last year’s event due to his switch to KTM before adding, “The track (Matterley Basin) looks really cool, we will see, there is going to be a lot of competition, Australia obviously really good, Holland is strong, we will have our work cut out for us.”
Hunter then interjected and said, tongue in cheek, “if you boys want to have couple of weeks off, you don’t have to come if you don’t want to – we won’t be mad!”
Team USA could be the strongest it has been since RedBud 2022 with Sexton in and Star Yamaha also seemingly up for sending their riders and that means Haiden Deegan plus the potential of a returning Webb/Tomac or Justin Cooper.
They might just start as favourites at Matterley!
