American stars, Joey Savatgy and Shane McElrath took the SX1 and SX2 wins respectively at round three of the Australian supercross championship in Wollongong.
Luke Clout won the opening SX1 moto but from there it was Savatgy proving unbeatable despite a crash while leading race two, with Savatgy winning the final moto over teammate Wilson.
In SX2 it was McElrath with the clean sweep with Brodie Connelly second and Cole Thompson third in a Honda 1-2-3. Indeed, Luke Clout on a Kawasaki, was the only rider to make the podium in both classes not on a Honda!
