It was a dream season and one that Noel Zanocz won’t forget in a hurry. Under the SDM Corse Fantic awning, Zanocz did the double winning the EMX125 championship as well as the 125cc Junior World Championship title.
It’s been clear for a while that the Hungarian will not be staying with Fantic but things have been relatively quiet regarding his future. He has been riding a Honda 450cc machine his Father bought him to stay sharp and to continue with bike time.
We understand that Zanocz will travel to Belgium next week to sign a deal with the JM Honda deal. There had been rumours he’d race the MX2 World Championship with the team but we believe the deal will be to contest the EMX250 championship – the more natural move after racing the EMX125 series.
The JM Honda team have already confirmed Brent van Doninck (MXGP) and David Braceras (MX2) for the 2025 season and now Zanocz is expected to join the pair under the awning. It is a promising rider line up for the JM Honda team.
Jacky Martens has a good reputation developing young talent in the paddock and will be hoping Zanocz can run at the sharp end of the EMX250 class even if it will be his rookie season. Being a rookie didn’t stop Mathis Valin this year and it’s clear that Zanocz has a lot of talent and should have a bright future in the sport.
The move to the JM Honda team will see Zanocz being based in Lommel, Belgium which will be a change for him after being based in Italy with the SDM Corse Fantic team. 2025 is going to be a big change with a new team, brand, base but he’ll be eager to impress.
More news coming as and when we hear it.
