There’s not many places in the world that Harri Kullas hasn’t raced whether it’s in Europe or the other side of the world. The experienced Estonian is always fast no matter the conditions.
Coming into the 2024 season, Kullas was on the look out for a new ride after British based team, Cab Screens Crescent Yamaha sadly closed their doors. After that team give him the opportunity to contest a few rounds of the AMA Nationals in 2023, Kullas decided he wanted some more and raced in America this year as a privateer.
Not only did he race in America but he also raced in Brazil which meant he couldn’t do all the AMA Nationals but he still did enough to finish twelfth in the series and qualify for the SMX finales which was another good experience.
Kullas is now trying to put plans in place for the 2025 season and as much as he’d love to race in America again, the one thing that is clear is that he can’t afford to do it as a privateer again so has been on the look out for a team.
We understand that Kullas is in talks with Michael’s Reno Powersports Stan Benson Racing and a deal is nearly done which would see him race Husqvarna machinery. Stan Benson Racing is a new team in the AMA paddock for the 2025 season but Kullas would be the perfect signing for him. The deal isn’t expected to be a Motocross only deal as he’ll also race Supercross for the team.
There’s not much Kullas hasn’t done in his career but racing a full 250cc Supercross series would be all new for him and good for the motivation. It’s not yet clear which coast Kullas will contest in but it’ll be a great opportunity for him.
The plan would then be to get on a 450cc and then race the full AMA Nationals with the team as well. After his AMA experience this year, Kullas knows the majority of the tracks on the calendar which should be a benefit.
We’ll keep you updated as and when we hear more.
