Rumour: Change of direction for Racestore KTM – official EMX125 team in 2024?

Italian based team, Racestore KTM have focused on the MX2 World Championship for a number of years. This year they started the season with Yago Martinez before parting ways with Alessandro Valeri currently racing with the team. The team have worked with the likes of Nicholas Lapucci, Morgan Lesiardo, Jan Pancar and Samuel Nilsson in the past to name a few.

We believe for the 2024 season, the team will switch their attentions from the MX2 World Championship and instead run an EMX125 team with official support from KTM. KTM haven’t really focused on the EMX125 series since running the KTM Junior setup which included the likes of Jorge Prado, Conrad Mewse and Josiah Natzke.

Former Grand Prix rider and current Italian MXoN team manager, Thomas Traversini is thought to be joining as team manager for the 2024 season.

Another rumour regarding the team is that young talented Dutch rider, Gyan Doensen could join up with the team which would be a very exciting move for the team. This year was Doensen’s rookie season in the EMX125 class and with one round to go currently sits eighth in the championship standings. Next year Doensen is expected to be one of the front runners and championship contenders.

The team are expected to run a two rider line up in the EMX125 series in 2024 with the second rider expected to be decided soon.
