Results: San Francisco supercross

Chase Sexton had the best start humanly possible to take the vital holeshot and win the ultimate mud supercross!

It was all about survival with Sexton flawless from a charging Tomac second and Ken Roczen third. Sexton now has the red plate with Jett Lawrence having a nightmare, and lapped for ninth.

Heat one winner Jorge Prado didn’t get the start he needed on the night he needed it most, coming around turn one about tenth after entering it way back in the field and just avoiding the first turn crash that took down Anderson. Prado worked his way up to sixth before Dylan Ferrandis got by pushing the MXGP champ to seventh but a heat race win and a top ten ain’t bad in his first mud supercross!

Sexton said: “That’s very special to get the first win with yhe bew team. We made a loy of progress this week, I was kind of bummed it rained. It was a long main event with how tough the track was. I’m just stoked, the off-season had been rough for me.:

Jordan Smith led wire to wire to take the 250 win and the red plate after lapping RJ Hampshire with both Shimoda and Vohland out early due to bike issues in the mudfest!

Levi Kitchen took second with Marchbanks passing veteran teammate Nicoletti on the last lap for the final step on the podium.
