It wasn’t meant to be for team Ireland after not the best starts in the B final made things difficult but they all rode their hearts out and Martin Barr, who had issues in the first lap, posted the third fastest lap of the race despite being two laps down. It was a case of what could have been as Edmonds stormed through to fifth and John Meara rode fantastic for ninth.
In the end Venezuela qualify for the main event with Lorenzo Locurcio taking the win.
