Results: Foxborough supercross – Webb wins!

Cooper Webb was up for the fight all day and he executed perfectly in the main to holeshot and lead the entire race despite pressure all moto long from Ken Roczen and then Chase Sexton, but neither rider could get close enough to the put the move on the ice cold Webb, who just thrives in pressure situations.

Webb now leaves level on points with Jett Lawrence with four races to go after Lawrence had a dreadful start and had to come from outside the top 15 to fifth, and was just inches from beating Anderson over the line for fourth.

Eli Tomac took sixth after dropping it while inside the top ten picking it up just in front of Lawrence and they worked their way through but even Eli couldn’t hold Jett back, with Lawrence even closing the gap to the leaders but it wasn’t enough.

The title is on and a smiling Webb said: “Amazing, it’s crazy, the season is never over. Great pace, had a great race, Chase was coming, this feels great.”

A not very happy Lawrence said: “I got a good jump but started to spin. It’s a bummer, I could see I was catching those guys.”

In the 250 class Haiden Deegan led from start to finish in a dominating ride with Cameron McAdoo passing Tom Vialle for second to extend his lead over Vialle from two to four points, with Deegan now 13 back of McAdoo.

Max Anstie took fifth behind Pierce Brown but the three title contenders were in a league of their own.
