What a difference two weeks off and a 2025 Honda made for Hunter Lawrence! The Aussie held Chase Sexton off all moto long including passing the championship leader back to take the first moto win at Unadilla and breat some life back into the 450 outdoor series.

Hunter Lawrence said: “That 25 is a big piece of the pie, definitely feeling back to as close to normal as could be after the Red Bud crash.”

Ken Roczen took 7th just ahead of Cooper Webb in 8th on their return outdoors and Shane McElrath, in his first race on the Kawasaki, finished 16th ahead of former teammate Kyle Chisholm 22nd and the man that effectively replaced him at HEP Suzuki, Colt Nichols, 23rd.

Chase Sexton holeshot and fled instantly with a 6 second lead by the end of lap one! Hunter Lawrence got a bad start but worked his way into third with a couple of laps to go and battled a rejuvenated Dylan Ferrandis for second, passing Ferrandis on the last lap casting the Frenchman an overall podium as Plessinger came back from a bad start to pass Anderson late for fourth. Ken Roczen too sixth and ran second for the first fifteen minutes in an impressive display of speed despite not having long back on the bike.

Cooper Webb started second but was back to sixth when he fell and pulled out of the race favouring his left hand. Former HEP Suzuki rider Shane McElrath took 13th on the Kawasaki just ahead of Colt Nichols on his HEP Suzuki debut!
