Race results: WMX RD6 – MXGP of Trentino

Race One:

It was a disastrous first lap for Kiara Fontanesi after she had just passed Courtney Duncan but then she didn’t get over a step up cleanly, which seen her get took out by Britt Jans-Beken in what was a racing incident. It saw her buried and she could only get back to fifteenth.

Courtney Duncan rode a sensible race to come home in third to secure another WMX title – a third in a row. Larissa Papenmeier rode a great race to win the opening moto ahead of Nancy van de Ven.

Race Two:

With the title in the bag, Courtney Duncan made a couple of early passes and dominated the second moto. However, it wasn’t good enough for the overall with Larissa Papenmeier saving her best for the very last round going 1-2 to secure the overall win.

Kiara Fontanesi yet again didn’t have a good first lap after hitting the back of Courtney Duncan and it was very costly as Nancy van de Ven ended up second in the championship!
