Race One: Romain Febvre grabbed the holeshot in the opening race but had Jorge Prado for company. The French rider lost the front at around the halfway mark and that was the mistake that the Spanish talent was waiting for. Prado then dominated and looked superb at a very technical track. Jeremy Seewer rode in a lonely third with Pauls Jonass a superb fourth on his return to racing MXGP. Glenn Coldenhoff was one rider able to make passes at a track very hard to overtake on but he managed to recover to fifth after a bad start.
Race Two: After more heavy rain the track was very slippery with a lot of shiny spots making it very difficult for the riders. Jeremy Seewer took a good start and looked superb at the front on his Factory Yamaha – he was able to pull away from Febvre and the win meant he broke the Frenchman’s win streak as well. For third, Renaux, Herlings, Gajser and Prado locked together in a bit of a freight train but noone could make passes.
