Race results: MX2 World Championship RD15 – Laengenfelder wins Uddevalla

Race One: With conditions tough and one-lined, a good start is very important and that’s exactly what Simon Laengenfelder had as he pulled the holeshot and pulled away at the front to dominate. Everts rode well to finish second ahead of the lonely Rick Elzinga but third was a superb result for the sole Factory Yamaha rider. Sacha Coenen was riding well in fourth but had constant pressure behind from Kevin Horgmo before the young Belgian crashed – he then crashed again but managed to hold onto fifth ahead of Emil Weckman and Isak Gifting who battled. Andrea Adamo didn’t get a good start and didn’t look to take any risks finishing in tenth.

Race Two: After some much needed track prep conditions were much better for the second moto and drier! It was Horgmo who led on the first lap with Adamo and Laengenfelder for company – the pace was hot at the front. Adamo passed Horgmo and started to pull away but with a couple of laps to go Laengenfelder caught Adamo and it was on! Rain also started to fall making the track super slick and slippery but Adamo just about held on to take an impressive win after a risk free first moto. Horgmo was third holding off Everts and he needed to stay ahead of Everts for the podium but then a mechanical meant a DNF – heart breaking!
