Race results: MXGP World Championship RD11 – Johannesburg – Coenen perfect

Race One: Lucas Coenen got the holeshot and controlled things at the front. Jeffrey Herlings didn’t get the best of starts but got himself into second by the end of lap one which was key.

With five minutes to go, Herlings set the best lap of the race and was close to Coenen but then had a costly crash.

Febvre finished third ahead of his team mate, Pauls Jonass who will be happy with fourth.

Race Two: It was another holeshot for Coenen and he was never threatened at the front as he dominated and had the perfect weekend going 1-1-1 to take the 21st GP overall of his career.

Herlings didn’t get the best of starts and had to make an aggressive pass on Febvre to get into second. Febvre ended up third to get himself on the podium.

Vlaanderen had a superb ride passing Vialle to come home fourth – a great result for Ducati.
