Race results: MX2 World Championship RD18 – Shanghai

Race One: It was a fantastic first race in China with Simon Längenfelder grabbing the holeshot and leading the way but there was never too much to split the top five riders in what was superb action. Camden McLellan was the rider on the move after he passed his team mate, he then caught and made a move on Längenfelder to bring home a superb race win.

When Farres was in third behind Längenfelder and looking like he would finish there before he had a tip over which promoted Everts. Everts was then on Längenfelder on the final lap for second but just couldn’t make a move stick.

After sitting in second for the first half, Coenen faded to fifth.

Race Two: Guillem Farres stayed cool, calm and collected to win thr second moto after an aggressive move early on Simon Längenfelder to take the lead but he had to fight hard to keep Liam Everts and then Camden McLellan at bay with the South African putting on a late race charge but just couldn’t make the pass on his teammate in the last two laps.

Second was enough to give McLellan the overall win, meaning the championship will go down to the last round but Farres will have a 48 point lead of McLellan with Coenen out of the championship runninh having crashed out of moto two.
