Race One: British talent, Billy Askew was leading the way on the first lap on his Triumph as there was chaos on the first lap. Janis Reisulis got involved in a first corner pile up and it took him an age to get going. But it was a joy to watch the Latvian battle through the pack – he ended up passing Askew on the last lap for second.
Garcia who got a podium at Arco last year, passed Askew and rode really well at the front controlling things on his BUD Kawasaki to take the win.
Skovberg made a lovely pass on Feuri on the last lap to finish an impressive fourth as he continues to improve in the hard pack conditions. Zanocz also had to battle through the pack and rode better than seventh suggests.
Race Two:Â It was a fantastic second race with Fueri leading the way on the opening lap but it was all happening behind him. Reisulis had an issue which resulted in a DNF!
Garcia was on the charge and got into third before catching Mancini and tried an aggressive move which saw him hit the deck. He was able to pick it up in third again before closing on the leaders yet again but another crash – this time he dropped to seventh but it was still enough for the overall win.
Mancini passed Fueri to take the win and the Italian looked to get tired but he held onto second for second overall. Doensen was strong for third with Perez passing Reichl for fifth on the last corner!
