Race One: Sleny Goyer took the holeshot but had pressure from Moritz Ernecker who made a move to get into the lead. However, Goyer passed the Austrian back and Ernecker seemed to never really recover after that. He had a pretty big crash when he was battling with his team mate and ended up down in ninth!
Bauer would go on to pass the impressive Utech for second. Thorius had a good ride for fourth on his Fantic.
Caudet and Kooiker had a great battle for most of the race – it was looking like Kooiker would finish fifth but he made a mistake on the last lap to drop down to seventh.
Race Two: It was Oleguer Riba who was leading on the first lap but Bauer was on the move and worked his way into the lead with an aggressive pass which Riba didn’t see coming – he hit the deck. It was enough for Bauer to bring home the race win and take the overall.
Utech and Ernecker collided on the opening lap which saw Utech done for the day – he looked in pain. Ernecker was right at the back of the pack but fought to comeback to sixteenth.
Goyer didn’t get the best of starts but rode well to get back up to fourth which was enough for second overall. Thorius rode well to bring home second to round off the podium.
There’s now only 19 points between Ernecker and Bauer in the championship fight.
