Race One: Nicky Mannini and Francesco Bellei were battling for the win in the first race before they both collided which allowed Cole McCullough to get into the lead! He had French talent, Mano Faure behind him but McCullough had more than enough in the bag to take his first ever EMX125 win!
Aron Katona had a terrible start but was able to pass Pini for third on the last lap. His team mate, Nicolo Alvisi went down on the first lap but rode hard to get all the way back up to sixth in a great ride.
Race Two: After overnight rain, conditions were totally different for the second moto – it’s the normal in MXGP these days. The fast starting, Mannini got the holeshot with Faure quickly getting his way into second.
Faure put the pressure on but then crashed even though he looked to have the overall in the bag – he then crashed again but going going again to finish fourth – it still give him the overall. Mannini rode great to take the win ahead of Bellei.
McCullough didn’t get a good start and had worked his way up towards the top fifteen when he had other issues which resulted in a DNF!
