Chase Sexton pipped Jett Lawrence to the fastest time after a lap-time battle all session long! Tomac was third and those three seem to have the pace on the rest so far in San Diego just four tenths separating the the trio. Webb and Roczen rounded out the top five, both aren’t usually know for their qualifying speed so don’t count them out tonight and the same can be said of Jason Anderson in sixth.

Jett Lawerence had pretty sweet line after the quad as you can see below and his smooth, momentum style is in total contrast to the throttle happy Eli Tomac with Chase Sexton somewhere in between in style.

Haiden Deegan edged Julien Beaumer in Q2 to go P1 in 250 qualifying but there was only three tenths in it! Jo Shimoda was fourth with Michael Mosiman looking much better this week in third.
