It was an intense race at the front between Lucas Coenen and Jeffrey Herlings. The Belgian was leading the way but had to deal with a lot of pressure which he did very well.
With three to go, Herlings was right on his rear wheel but then he made a mistake which meant he couldn’t double into the waves section. He lost too much time which allowed Coenen to win.
Ruben Fernandez had a superb ride in third with Romain Febvre getting back to fourth. Tim Gajser rounded out the top five.
