What a qualifying race that was! It was Glenn Coldenhoff who grabbed the holeshot ahead of Tim Gajser and just when it looked like Gajser was going to pounce he picked up a bike issue – it looked like a break problem.
It left the door open with Jeremy Seewer and Pauls Jonass catching Coldenhoff – it was Jonass on the move as he passed both to take the victory. It’s a big big win for the Latvian who’s had arm problems so this will be a big confidence booster.
Jorge Prado came home in third just ahead of MX2 World Champ, Maxime Renuax and Thomas Kjer Olsen with Coldenhoff dropping back to sixth.
Despite his issues, Gajser did enough for seventh which is still a solid gate pick for the main races tomorrow.
