To the delight of the home crowd it was a French 1-2 in the MX2 qualifying race with Tom Vialle taking the win. The factory KTM rider didn’t have it easy with Thibault Benistant who is carrying a shoulder injury, comfortably ran the pace and made a push on the final lap – it was a drag race to the finish line!
Jago Geerts was third on the opening lap but then a small crash and then while getting back on the bike dropped it again. It cost him time and was eleventh when he got going but got back to eighth.
Liam Everts rode a superb race to finish third ahead of another French rider, Tom Guyon.
