Austrian talent Maximilian Ernecker had a standout 2024 season in the EMX125 class winning a moto in Latvia and also got on the podium.
Not only that but he clinched the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 title, marking his first major international championship. Ernecker dominated the early part of the season, winning all events and securing multiple race victories, including double moto wins in Dreetz.
For the 2025 season, the Austrian will make the move up to the EMX250 championship in what will be his rookie season.
Initially, Ernecker had signed with WZ KTM to compete in the EMX250 series for 2025. However, just before the season starts this weekend in Spain, he has transitioned to the SixtySeven Racing team, where he will still ride a KTM. This late change requires him to adapt quickly to new machinery and team dynamics as he steps up to the EMX250 class.
Ernecker will join Mark Scheu and Arvid Luning under the awning with his team mates focusing on the MXGP World Championship.
