Popular American rider, Kyle Chisholm announced a few weeks ago that he’d be lining up at A1 this weekend and contest the full AMA Supercross series in what will be his 20th year of racing.Â
He has now confirmed that this year will be his final year of racing a full Supercross or outdoor series – but he hopes to still contest selected races.Â
Chisholm had the following to say on his decision:Â
I’ve made it out here at Anaheim getting ready to get the 2025 Supercross season kicked off and man just walking around the pits checking everything out taking it all. Just thinking man 20 years of me doing this professionally, it’s crazy crazy how fast it’s gone by… 2007 was my first time racing here in Anaheim, that was the 250cc west coast that year and like I said, just crazy it’s flown by. 20 years getting to race Supercross, I’m definitely thankful and blessed I’ve gotten to do something that I love for as long as I have.
If you guys missed it, I did a little announcement a couple weeks ago. Everyone’s always asking how much longer I’m going to keep racing, if I’m going to race another year so yeah, I did a little announcement. If you missed it go check it out on Instagram, we did a little fun little video had some fun with it so make sure you check that out. It was just me announcing that I’ll be racing the full Supercross season for 2025.

With that said, I’ve got another little announcement for you guys. This is definitely tough, a lot of thought went into it but yeah man 2025 is going to be my last full season racing Supercross so definitely tough. It is a little bittersweet, a lot of mixed emotions, you know… Going into that decision and just I think it’s time, I’ve got three little girls at home that are growing up fast and I want to be more present and spend more time with them. I’ve got some other interests in life too that I’d like to do and when you’re doing this full time you don’t have much time for anything else.
But knowing myself and most of you guys know me I love racing, it’s in my blood and this will be my last full season racing but I’m sure you will see me if it’s up to me. You will probably see me definitely doing some off-season races and maybe showing up to a Supercross here or there, maybe an outdoor, you know. Hopefully for years to come, I hope so we’ll see.
I just want to let you guys know this is the last full season for me and we prepared well. I’m really looking forward to it, I want to have some fun and definitely take it all and enjoy it. I will try to be present and not take it for granted and just enjoy it, have a lot of fun. I look forward to seeing all you guys at the races every weekend and make sure you come say hi in the next couple days two three days. We’re working on some new shirt for some merch for you guys just celebrating my 20 years of doing this. Keep an eye out for that and hopefully see you guys at the races soon, thanks guys.
