We reported the rumour last week that Henry Jacobi was set to go to America to contest at least one round of the AMA Nationals and it is now confirmed.
The German will be heading to America to contest the next two rounds of the AMA Nationals which are taking place at Unadilla and Budds Creek. Unadilla is set to be a big round with Cooper Webb returning and Jacobi’s fellow countryman, Ken Roczen also racing.
It means there will be two fast German’s contesting the MX1 class at Unadilla. Eli Tomac should hopefully return at Unadilla as well.
Jacobi has plenty of experience of experience in the Grand Prix paddock coming through the EMX pyramid system all the way up to MXGP. The past few years he has focused more on the ADAC MX Masters with the Sarholz KTM team but has contested wildcard MXGP events.
Now Jacobi has the opportunity to experience a different style of racing in America but having raced the RedBud MXoN in the past he isn’t a complete stranger to racing in the country.
Henry Jacobi:Â
“For me it is a dream coming true. We go to the USA to have fun and also to make good results. I will go there with my KTM Sarholz bike, so this suits me… I am looking forward to the races. I am thankful for all the support of my partners and I truly feel the passion of all German fans”, Jacobi told GateDrop.com.Â
Jacobi has set up the following GoFundMe page in order to help raise costs to make his journey more manageable.
