Race One: It was an exciting opening race at a pretty fast Hawkstone Park with not much to split Rizzi, Searle and Valk at the front. Unfortunately, just as it started to shape up for the three riders to battle for the lead the race was red flagged after Ben Mustoe had a pretty big crash. But nonetheless, it was an impressive ride for Rizzi.
The returning, Billy Askew ended up fourth with Jack Chambers having a disastrous start. The American came back to thirteenth but could have done without the red flag…
Race Two: Searle took a great start and pulled away at the front to take a very impressive race win. There was a battle on for second involving three Kawasaki riders and Valk. Valk had good pace but was struggling to pass and even tipped over trying to pass Rizzi but eventually ended up third right behind Chambers who he just couldn’t pass but the American will be happy with his second position.
