MX1 race results: Fastest 40 + British Championship – Herlings domination at Hawkstone Park

Race One: It was a superb race race for Jeffrey Herlings as he started second, quickly passed Bobby Bruce and was gone at the front. Conrad Mewse didn’t get a good start but worked his way through to second.

Josh Gilbert who is just back racing was able to pass Bruce for third in a British battle – they both will want to go to the MXoN. Tristan Purdon then made a pass on Gilbert to end up third.

Barr was sixth but then made a late race mistake finishing ninth ahead Jason Meara.

Race Two: Herlings got the holeshot in race but Mewse was second as the pair set a hot pace to pull away from the rest of the field. Herlings was just too good and fast for Mewse ending up winning with a gap of 25 seconds. Bruce started third and rode well to finish there to round off the podium.

Meara had a strong race finishing sixth with Barr tenth.
