Despite coming away with the opening round win at the British championship in Culham and showing some superb speed, Conrad Mewse is more concerned with the well being of his teammate and friend, Bas Vaessen, who is currently in intensive care after spinal fractures following a crash on the opening lap of race one.
A concerned Mewse commented: “Great weekend for me going p1 overall and taking the red plate into the next round! But more importantly my thoughts go out to Bas, Bente and his parents in this tough time, we worked so hard together all winter trying to better ourselves everyday but unfortunately this is motocross and it can go this way, my fingers are crossed that you make a full recovery and you are able to do what you love doing again soon.
