Mantova MXoN results: Race 1 – MXGP+MX2

It all went wrong for Italy and the Netherlands in turn one when Coldenhoff slid out and took Cairoli with him leaving the MXoN team title wide open!

Tom Vialle took advantage with a great start only to then fall while second but he calmly made his way back into second behind Thomas Kjer Olsen who took a brilliant win for Denmark. Ben Watson kept Britain in it with a fine third but Mewse was back in 22nd just a spot behind Cairoli who had to stop for goggles. Guadagnini kept Italy alive with a fifth.

Coldenhoff got back to 15th with Van de Moosdijk 18th but now France, going 2-9 with Vialle and Paturel, are the team to beat heading into the second moto!
