There had been rumours that the Lawrence brothers would race the 450 class to try and help Chase Sexton win the title – and Jett Lawrence admitted it would have happened but they would have ridden 250s!
Jett said in the pre-race press conference: “450 class yes, not the 450 bike. Depending on how the last round went. Hunter and I were going to step up to the 450 class on our 250s, just to be there for Chase incase Tomac got a bad start, so it’s an extra two bikes and a few more points to Chase. But with the unfortunate situation for Eli we don’t need to step up and we get to run the number one plate this weekend for Honda.”
Lawrence who will move up to the 450 class in a couple of weeks for outdoors said he spent six weeks on the bike after MXoN and got even faster – roll on outdoors!
