Kay de Wolf on his 450 MXGP debut this weekend

It’s a couple of weeks later than we all wanted but it is great to see Kay de Wolf in Spain and ready to make his MXGP debut this weekend!

Kay said: “It’s going to be my MXGP debut. I’m really excited for this, ‘ve been waiting a while for it and especially with the thumb injury, it was a little hiccup. But we’re here. I haven’t been on the bike a lot, so I only rode twice in the last few months ever since I had my crash.

“So yeah, I’m just gonna try and do my best, see what I can do and just gonna have fun and yeah, I just wanted to start racing. So that’s why we’re here, just racing and having fun and let’s see where we end up.”

De Wolf is one of the most talented riders in the sport and has already shown his potential on a 450 at the end of the last couple of seasons battling Jeffrey Herlings, he will also be renewing a rivalry with Lucas Coenen in what is an exciting and elite level addition to MXGP for 2026.
